Dhupguri Women Destroyed Liquor Selling Shanties at Vemtia Gate Bazaar

Webdesk, TNI Dhupguri, 29th May, 2017: Today a group of women from Dhupguri staged a protest and demonstration against the sale of liquor in the town. The incident had occurred at Vemtia Gate bazaar area of Dhupguri block. The women destroyed the shanties from where the liquor was sold.
They even broke all the stocks of liquors stacked in those huts. It was not only the women who were in the demonstration. There were men also, who joined the protest. The police were also informed verbally about the incident by the villagers. Interestingly, not a single person came to defend against the agitated women force. According to the police source, there was no prior information about the incident. The IC of Dhupguri Police station Mr. Sanjay Dutta told TNI that the police will do an investigation into the incident.
