Webdesk, TNI Banarhat 25th May, 2017: In the social media rumors spread like wildfire. It was such a rumor which spread i.e. RBI is not going to accept the new Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000 pen marked currency notes. However, the reality is different. It is not the pen marked notes but the torn notes which will not be accepted by the banks. For removing such confusions among the minds of the people today an organization named Banarhat Integrated Rural Development Society organized a Financial Literacy Workshop at Banarhat High School. The resource personnel present on the occasion were the AGM of RBI, Kolkata Mr. Amit Das, Assistant Managers Mr. Silbhadra Bhattacharya & Tarun Kumar Sarkar. According to the students and teachers, this kind of workshop is really beneficial to not only the students but also the guardians who get to know about the information from their warts. The officials also informed that if there is a need for further clarification anyone can visit the website or email RBI regarding their queries.
