Wild Peacock Rescued by Local Youths at Dhupguri

Webdesk, TNI Dhupguri 10^th May, 2017: A peacock was today rescued at Daukimari Chouhaddi area of Dhupguri Block. In the morning a full sized Peacock was seen moving around in the area by some local people. Soon after that, the stray dogs tried to kill it. The local youths then saved the poor bird and tied it up. They called the forest department and later the bird was handed over to them. It is assumed that the peacock might have come out from the nearby Khuttimari forest and have lost its way.
