Webdesk, TNI Siliguri 8th May, 2017: Tomorrow becomes a historic day for Siliguri. Not because it’s Rabindra Jayanti but for a different issue. It will be a day when Siliguri is going to get its own Language Martyr tower (Bhasha Sahid Minar) inaugurated on the auspicious birthday of Kaviguru Rabindranath Tagore at Siliguri’s Baghajatin Park. It’s a mini version of the main Sahid Minar located at Dacca University premises in the capital city of Bangladesh. However, yet it’s of a kind especially in Siliguri. Though there are many Sahid Minars presently adorning many cities worldwide including London yet this for the first time in North Bengal.
