Protests for Scrapping of Minimum Balance Order by Banks at Banarhat Today

Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 18th April, 2017: Tension have mounted in connection with the lesser number of Banking infrastructure at the tea gardens of Dooars. The tea workers protested under a trade union banner for immediate scrapping of minimum balance order given by SBI. The workers today organized a demonstration at the bank branches of UBI, SBI, Grameen Bank located at Banarhat for their demands. This has also caused problems for the general public. The tea workers also said that if this order is not withdrawn then there would be much more intense agitation in the future.
