Historical Discounts on Two Wheelers due to Supreme Court Order in Siliguri

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 30^th March 2017: Based on the Supreme Court Order to kick starts the BS IV norms by April 1^st 2017 the auto dealers of Honda and Hero Motorcorp has a lot of unsold stocks everywhere in the country. Siliguri is no exception. Already, there are SMS phone calls from the auto showrooms of Hero and Honda two wheelers to the existing and probable customers. The sale of BS III vehicles gets banned from 1^st April 2017. The truckloads of discounts are on the offer in the last two days. The Hero Dealers are offering a flat discount up to Rs. 12500/- on Duet, Maestro Edge, Super Splendor, Glamour, Pleasure, Passion, Passion Pro. For the case of its premium bikes, it up to Rs. 7500/-. The Honda dealers had initially offered a flat discount of Rs. 10000/- on its BS – III scooters and bikes later increased to up to Rs. 22000/-. Bajaj Auto also offered discounts and free insurance on its different models, starting from the entry level Platina to Pulsar Rs 200 in the range of Rs 3,000 to Rs 12,000 along with free insurance. For Yamaha it’s Rs. 5000/- flat discount for its two wheelers. In a sudden twist with such discount SMS and phone calls from the dealers, the people were perplexed. Some even thought it as an April fool prank. Later watching the news they became certain about the reality. The first day remained cool but it may be long queues on the last day i.e. 31^st March.
