Higher Secondary Starts Peacefully at Alipurduar District Today

Webdesk, TNI Alipurduar, 15th March, 2017: Along with the entire state of West Bengal the HS Examination started at Alipurduar district from today. This year the total number of examinees from the district is 17282. Among which 7447 are boys and 9834 are girls. The total number students from 103 HS Schools of Alipurduar are sitting for the HS examination in 57 exam centers. The number of girl students this time has surpassed the boys. In Falakata, the number of candidates sitting for the HS examination is 2104. Among which 953 are boys and 1151 are girls. The total number of special candidates is 117 and Continuing candidates are 260 in number. The secretary of Falakata Higher Secondary Examination center Smt. Jharna Dutta told TNI that all necessary arrangements for the examinees are completed. Special sick rooms for the emergency situation are also made ready for the case like sudden sickness of the candidates. The Joint Convenor of WBHSC, Alipurduar District Mr. Kanauj Ballav Goswami told TNI that all the arrangements are made for smooth conducting of the examination. No mobile phones are allowed in the examination centers. At least 3 examination guards are kept per exam room. Even in some case transport facilities are also arranged for the candidates.
