Social Awareness Program by SSB Falakata in Indo – Bhutan Border Near Falakata

Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 9^th March, 2017: A Social Awareness program was organized by the Falakata SSB 19 No Batallion at Upper Chengmari village of Lukshan Gram Panchayat under Nagrakata Block. The program was inaugurated by the Head of Frontier SSB Siliguri IG S. Banerjee with lighting the lamp. Apart from him, the others present were DIG of Jalpaiguri SSB Head Quarter Mr. H. S. Gadde, Deputy Commandant of Falakata SSB 17 Batallion Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh, Assistant Commandant Mr. Shivjyot Singh and others. The program was organized to provide social awareness among the residents residing in the Indo-Bhutan Border areas. In the function, various items were performed in Bengali, Nepali, Adivasi, Punjabi, Assamese languages. Moreover, many voluntary organizations of Falakata and Birpara participated in the program along with some Nationalized Banks. Some physically disabled people were also provided with support devices in the program.
