Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 7th March, 2017: Today the students of Totapara School of Banarhat staged a road blockade agitation in demand of the long pending road repairment. For many days the road requirement work is being stopped for some unknown reasons. After the starting of the road repairment works in Banarhat stones, dust and boulders were already kept aside the road. However, the work stopped abruptly resulting in the scattering of the stones, chips, sand throughout the area. The highly affected is the schools of the area. The students of Himalayan Academy located in the stretches of the National Highway cannot attend classes properly due to dust spread in the air during this airy season. Already 30-40 students are suffering from the dust allergy. For this reason, the more than 100 students protested and demanded the resumption of the works by staging the road blockade. After mid noon the blockade was lifted.
