Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 6th March, 2017: The business community of Falakata is spending sleepless nights because of an announcement for the last couple of days on NH-31. The announcement is related to a notice of eviction for the illegal settlers, those who are settled adjacent to the NH-31 on the land of PWD from Mill Road via Jateshwar till Birpara Chowpatty. According to the announcement 15 days time is given to the illegal settlers to clear the land. After the announcement by the loudspeaker, the traders of the area organized a meeting in a local hotel. In the meeting the people present were the chairman of Falakata Byabshayi Samiti Mr. Felan Chanda, Secretary Mr. Nantu Talukdar and other members. After the meeting, the secretary of Falakata Byabshayi Samiti Mr. Nantu Talukdar told TNI that after an authenticity check of the announcement Falakata Byabshayi Samiti will take any action. This is because only by a recorded announcement in a Toto doesn’t guarantee its authenticity. However, he also said that in no circumstances the traders will be evicted.
