Fake Currency Worth Rs. 95K Seized in the Heart of Malda Town

Webdesk, TNI Malda, 5th March, 2017: Again fake Rs. 2000 notes seized in Malda. However, this time the accused was moving around with the fake currency in the heart of Malda town. After getting a tip-off from police sources, the police laid a trap at Rathbari area’s taxi stand. The person was arrested immediately by the police when he arrived at the spot. The arrested person is known to be Mukhlesh Mian (45) alias Bhutu and is a resident of Saradapally Paglatola area of Kaliachak. A total of Rs. 92000 valuation fake currency was recovered from the accused. Today the accused was produced in the Malda District Court. The court gave 10 day Police custody to the accused. However, the police did not reveal the source and the destination of the fake currency for investigation secrecy. However, over the last couple of weeks, the fake currency arrests in Malda have made the District and Police administration up in their toes every time.
