Elephants Damage 5 Houses in Kalabari TG of Banarhat

Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 5th February, 2017: Today in the wee hours of dawn wild tuskers attacked Kalabari Tea Garden and smashed 5 shanties of the tea garden workers. It is reported that 2 elephants from the adjacent forest came to the garden attacked the Sromik Mohalla in the school line of the tea garden. 5 shanties belonging to the TG workers were damaged by the animals. The workers complained that the forest guards don’t bother to come to the gardens when the elephant attack despite getting alerted by the people. The people in the area are now living in terror due to the regular elephant attacks in the area.
