First Snowfall Received by Sikkim This Season

Webdesk, TNI Gangtok, 27th December, 2016: When Bengal is experiencing a nonuniform and half dozed winter this season, the neighboring experienced its taste of the first snowfall this season. Especially the East and North Sikkim got the season’s first snowfall on Sunday night. It was just a delight for the tourists, up to one ft of snow was reported from, Zuluk, Lachen and Gurudongmar lake in North and also the famous Changu Lake along with Baba Mandi, Nathula border etc.
The tour operators are also excited in the outcome as there were concerns because their business is heavily depended on during the snow seasons. This time bookings were canceled due to the absence of snow. According to the Gangtok Met Office, the temperatures is hovering around 0-1° C.
