District Book Fair Meeting Held at Islampur Today

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 25th December, 2016: On Christmas Day i.e. 25th December a meeting was held at Islampur’s Town Library Hall. In this meeting a chief committee was formed and sub committees were formed for the purpose of organizing the 21st Uttar Dinajpur District Book Fair. In this meeting the participants were the MLA from Goalpokhor and Panchayat and Rural Development’s State Minister Mr. Golam Rabbani, the Chairman of Islampur Municipality and MLA of Islampur Mr. Kanhaiyalal Agarwal, the SDO of Islampur Smt. Tshering Yonden Bhutia and other district level dignitaries were present. It is being decided that the District Book Fair will start from 16th January 2017 at Islampur School Ground. The book fair will last till 22nd January. The SDO has appealed to all the sections of the society to make the event successful.
