Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 22nd December, 2016: The stadium was not filled to the brink as the club officials and the organizers tried to their best to woo in the crowd as it was expected with just the name East Bengal among the participant. Never give the blame on to Modi’s demonetization for not filling the ground to the fullest in an East Bengal match. It was clear from day one when the promotion started that it’s a friendly match and also between minnows Bagha Jatin Athletic Club and EB’s club president eleven. With the absence of Arnab Mondal, Mehtab Hossain, Cavin Lobo, Gurwinder, the star players it was evident that EB is going to play the reserve bench. Well, of course, for BJAC it was a Hall of Fame match. However, most of the Siligurians are diehard fans of EB, so it was a confused state of mind as to who to support the local club or the inheritance tagged EB. However, it was a good show in the end as the match went through without hassles. On the other hand, for the coach Trevor James Morgan the match may have increased his anxiety. As expected the match was won by EB but with just a meager margin of 3 goals. BJAC coach Kalyan De have instructed to make the defense stronger which may have led EB to face strong defense in the midfield and even in the box. The first goal scored was after 33 mins of the start. The second in 37 min and the last in the 50 min. Lastly, BJAC won accolades among the home crowd because of their overall performance.
