3rd Alipurduar District Book Fair Initiated at Falakata’s Subhash Pathaghar

Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 17th December, 2016: Today the 3rd Alipurduar District Book Fair organized by the Department of Libraries, GOWB was initiated at Subhash Pathagar of Falakata. The inauguration was done with a recitation competition. Today the selection round of the recitation competition was done for various categories. The best performers will be selected for the final round of the competition. The main program will be held on 26th December and will continue till January 4th 2017 at Falakata Town Club Ground. It is estimated that a total of 70 stalls will be erected for the Book Fair. Among them 60 stalls are reserved for the Government owned publishing houses and Wedding shops. The rest of the 10 stalls will be for various Government Departments. A main stage for the Book Fair is being constructed where various cultural programs will take place by many talented artists of the district and elsewhere. Apart from these there will be short discussion shows to be held in the stage on various social issues.
