Magazine Launched for the Help of Needy Children at Falakata

Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 1^st December, 2016: A Self Help Group named ‘Dure Kothao’ today organized a program of distributing educational items to 45 needy children of Falakata Sishu Sadan. The items distributed were School Bags, exercise books, pens, rulers, pencils, sharpeners, drawing items etc. The items were distributed by various guests invited for the occasion. In this program a Tri-monthly Magazine named ‘Dure Kothao’ was also inaugurated by the students of Falakata Sishu Sadan. The magazine is based on travel, healthcare and photography. The guests, invited for the ocassion were the Rtd Head Master of Falakata High School Dr. Subhash Sengupta, Poet Sri. Amit Kumar Dey and Sri Narayan Datta, renowned teachers Mr. Souvik Roy, Mr. Asish Mandal, Dr. Shefali Sengupta, Mr Sona Wang Bhutia from Falakata SSB 17 No. Battalion and the editor of ‘Dure Kothao’ Mr. Arindam Bhattacharya. Apart from them others present were the members of the Magazine team i.e. Mr. Palash Kundu, Smt. Lipika Majumdar, Smt. Sandipa Nandi and others. At the end of the program the students were also given a lunch. According to Mr. Arindam Bhattacharya, the SHG ‘Dure Kothao’ is functioning for the benefit of the children from the backward society in the process of education and social upliftment. According Smt. Sandipa Nandi, the entire earnings from the magazine will be used for the self help programs of ‘Dure Kothao’.
