16 BANGLADESHIS HELD AT ISLAMPUR FOR TRESPASSING

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 6th November, 2016: Bangladeshis arrested by the police on the charge of entering India without proper documents and permission were sent to Jail today. One of them was sent to 2 days police remand and another 17 were sent for 14 days jail remand by the Islampur court. It is learned from the police sources that yesterday night in a Naka checking at Dharampur area these people were caught while they were travelling by two autorickshaws. 16 of them belong from Thakurgaon area of Bangladesh. Another two were the auto drivers from India. All of them had the intention to go to Kishanganj and then head towards Punjab in search of work. The OC of Goalpokhor police station Mr. Abhijit Datta told TNI that one among the 18 is Md. Amin. He is the illegal passage agent of the Bangladeshis.
