BANK SAVED FROM A POSSIBLE MAJOR FIRE AT DHUPGURI

Webdesk, TNI Dhupguri, 3^rd November, 2016: In an awful incident of fire at Dhupguri today a private bank branch was merely saved from a big disaster. The incident happened at around 3 pm today when an ATM customer observed it while he was to do his transaction at the ATM counter. He saw the generator of the bank kept in a godown of salt adjacent to the bank has caught fire. He immediately reported the matter to the security staff of the bank. The bank employees and the security personnel immediately switched off the electricity connection and tried to douse the flames with the fire-dousing equipment kept in the bank. The fire brigade reached the spot after they receive the news. They then doused the flames completely. Except the generator no other damages were seen due to the incident. The fire brigade officer in the spot Mr. Dawa Bhutia said that there is a strong possibility that the fire might have been caused because of short circuit however further investigations are needed.
