ACCUSED OF MURDER UNTRACED: ROAD BLOCKED AT CHOPRA IN PROTEST

Webdesk, TNI Chopra, 1st November, 2016: In a case of a land-related dispute between two families a person was allegedly killed by the members of the other family. This had lead to a road blockade staged by the victim’s family members including the victim’s wife, father and other relatives. Earlier, 3 days before the victim Md Mazirul was killed by miscreants of the other family including the main accused Md. Kamrul. However, after the incident, it is alleged that the police did not arrest the accused. Interestingly, apart from the police, no other administrative official reached the blockade spot for lifting the blockade but the family members of the victim themselves have lifted the road blockade after 1.5 hours. However, till then the passengers of the vehicles in the jam had a tough time beating the heat. The father of the victim said the blockade was lifted keeping in the problems of the innocent travelers. On the other hand, the IC of Chopra police station Mr. Goutam Roy said that police is searching the accused in the murder.
