FREE WI-FI PUJA PANDAL CREATING DEGRADATION OF TRUE PUJA FLAVORS AT FALAKATA

Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 31^st October, 2016: People are thronging the Kali Puja pandals of Falakata like every year, however, this time with a difference. There is an attraction of Free Wi-Fi facility provided by the puja committees in collaboration with some local Internet providers. So far so good yet this had made the puja committees somewhat skeptical about continuing the facility in the next years. This is because pandal hoppers are coming to the pandals but instead of visiting the pandals are busy clicking selfies or groupies in their mobile cameras and uploading it to social networking sites. This practice has somewhat devalued the creativity of the artisans who have made the pandals or the idols because people are self-concentrated rather than watching the pandals or the idols (For which they have come to see the pujas). Many puja committee members are heard of rethinking of the facilities in the next year because this might lead to the devaluation of the puja grandeur.
