MISCREANT ASSAULT VICTIM DIES IN ISLAMPUR: POLICE ACTION PENDING

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 25^th October, 2016: Today tension mounted in Islampur when the news of the death of a paint mason named Tushar Bhowmick spread in his residential locality. The family members of the paint mason took the body to the police station when the police sent the body for post-mortem. The family members said that all of their money including their house has been sold for the sake of treatment. The mason is survived by his wife and two sons. The mason was being brutally assaulted by a local miscreant and his men two months ago. The miscreants then fled with his money. According to the family members, complaint has already been lodged against the miscreant Rupam Biswas and other but the police are asking for the post-mortem report before they will take any action. The localites have threatened to go in more agitation if no action is taken against the culprits. On the other hand, Sub Divisional police officer Mr. Pradip Kumar Yadav said that police will only take action if it is proved from the post mortem that those wounds are from the assault by the named culprits.
