WORLD FOOD DAY CELEBRATED AT SILIGURI’S DINABANDHU MANCH TODAY

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 20^th October, 2016: Today in the occasion of World Food Day a program organized at Dinabandhu Manch by the Department of Food and Supplies, GOWB. In the program food grains and clothes were distributed to the poor and needy people from the society. In the program the various ministers of the Government of West Bengal were present like the Honorable Tourism Minister Mr. Gautam Deb, MIC Food and Supplies Mr. Jyotipriyo Mallick, MIC Tribal Development Mr. James Kujur, MIC NBDD Mr. Rabindranath Ghosh, SJDA Chairman Dr. Sourav Chakraborty and various other officers from the Department of Food and Supplies and other departments as well. During the program, Saint Mother Teresa was also remembered by the dignitaries. In this occasion, the guest also inaugurated several Fair Price ration shops in various tea gardens of Dooars like Red Bank Tea Estate, Kathalguri Tea Estate, Surendranagar Tea Estate, Dalmore Tea Estate etc.
