Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 20th October, 2016: After Goalpokhor Islampur today came under the clutches of Dengue virus. In various private pathological labs of Islampur, the positive dengue cases are on the rise from yesterday. Today a total 10 fresh cases were recorded from yesterday. They were admitted at Islampur Sub-divisional Hospital. However, according to the Hospital sources, only 6 cases were officially declared. The areas mostly affected were Nandajhar of Islampur and Kumartol of Chopra. The affected patients are covered by the mosquito even in the day time. Henceforth, a strong question is raised against the hospital authorities in terms of the hospital cleanliness. The hospital superintendent Dr. Narayan Midya is on the other hand confident about it. He said “The cleanliness is maintained in the hospital along with the medical supervision of the patient. Till now 6 cases are with positive with dengue virus rest of them are negative. If the private pathological are claiming more positive cases than it incorrect”. Mr. Kanhaiyalal Agarwal, the Islampur Municipality Chairman said “The safai workers of the municipality are working on the cleanliness of Islampur on a regular basis and extra care has been taken to control the Dengue menace in the area”.
