CULPRITS OF ISLAMPUR FIRING ON 13TH OCTOBER REMAINS UNTRACED

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 17th October, 2016: After the gambling clash and firing at South Matikunda village under Islampur police station on 13th October made rounds in the media throughout the state yet the police administration is yet to find the culprits till date. Two villagers were seriously injured on that fateful day.
Earlier there were enough allegation made by the villagers in front of the media of the inaction of the police despite they were informed about the attack on them by miscreants from the gambling gangs. Villagers also alleged to have been looted by the men from Jhaljhali village under the cover of the clash. Many animals were taken away and villagers beat up. The IC of Islampur Police Mr. Sukumar Ghosh has denied allegations by the villagers against the police.
