6 PERSONS AFFECTED WITH DEADLY DENGUE IN GOALPOKHOR

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 17th October, 2016: Today after the puja holidays the Islampur Sub divisional administration became active in controlling the Dengue menace in the district. It is confirmed that at least 6 people got affected by dengue at Subhashpally of Panjipara under Goalpokhor PS. Today a medical team was deployed quickly in the affected areas. The team consisted of BDO of Goalpokor Mr. Raju Sherpa, Dr. Mohsin Hussain of Lodhan Block PHC and other health staff and ASHA workers. The team collected blood samples from the people of the area along with this they also tried to give the message of dengue control among the residents.
According to the Department of Health, GOWB, 3 among the affected with Dengue were admitted in the hospital and the other two are being treated at Kishanganj Lions Hospital. Another person is having his treatment in his house. Dr. Khurshid Jahan of Lodhan Block PHC said that those affected were working in New Delhi and Kolkata. However, the administration has kept an eye on the people. He also said that a temporary market of Fishes and meat at Subhashpally should immediately be transferred to the Government made Market Complex. The BDO Mr. Raju Sherpa said that the situation is under control and there is no question of panic.
