BIGGEST DURGA PUJA OF SILIGURI CENTRAL COLONY CREATES ‘SARBOBORNA’

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 5th October, 2016: One of the star Durga Puja of North Bengal is Siliguri’s Central Colony’s Durga Puja. Like the previous year’s Central Colony is going to gift the North Bengalians a big Grandeur in the name of “Sarbo Borna”. Yes Sarba Borna is the theme of Central Colony’s Durga Puja this year. The theme depicts unity, i.e. inclusion of all religion, all communities, and every people of the society. TNI spoke to Mr. Partha Dey, the secretary of Central Colony Durga Puja committee. According to Mr. Partha Dey the approximate budget is around Rs. 20 Lakhs.

As far as the security measures are concerned the Central Colony Durga Puja is going to make no stones unturned for making the security system up to the mark. Apart from CCTV, there would be 50 private security guards everyday 24 hours guarding the pandal, facilities, corridors etc. of the puja. Police administration is also going to take extra measures for making the puja pandals highly secured. As expected the puja committee is prepared of getting more than 1 lakh visitors every day of the Durga Puja starting from Panchami. There would be some social works from Central Colony Durga Puja i.e. Clothes distribution for Poor, Prasad distribution on Mahasthami etc. Today at 7 pm the inauguration of the Puja will be done by the Honorable MIC Tourism Mr. Gautam Deb. Mr. Dey also said that this year the Bisharjan is going to be held at 13th October (based on the instructions of the administration). Overall, Central Colony Durga Puja is going invite every North Bengalians to see the Puja at least once and enjoy the ambiance altogether.
