Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 03rd October, 2016: Subrata Sangha one of the elite clubs of Siliguri is celebrating its 69th year of Durga Puja. This time, the main pandal is being constructed in the Tarai Tarapada Adharsha Bidyalaya (School) Ground just adjacent to its old place and club premises. The theme of Subrata Sangha is ‘Satyam Shivam Anantam’. TNI spoke to Mr. Partha Saha, the secretary of Subrata Sangha Durga puja committee. He explained that the theme “Satyam Shivam Anantam” is a slight deviation from the traditional ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’. The replaced word Anantam depicts the Universal Beauty of Lord Shiva, much ahead of Worldly boundaries. He also said that this time the puja budget is grown much higher than the past year i.e. a big 30 lakhs. This time not only the Puja Pandal is going to attract the spectators but also the ambiance i.e. an artificial garden is being enacted in front of the Pandal. This is an additive from the previous years because the old place had much smaller space than this place. The club officials are coordinating with the administration to control the rush of visitors in the pandal. Apart from this, the other mandatory requirements laid down by the administration are also maintained for security purpose. Apart from this a private security organization is also involved to maintain the systematic inflow and outflow of the visitors in the pandal during the puja days. As far as the pandal construction is concerned, the entire pandal is being made with artisans from South Bengal. The main artist of the theme pandal is Mr. Nirmal Mali. Mr. Saha also said that this time it is expected that their pandal is going to attract a huge crowd, much bigger than the previous years.
