Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 02nd October, 2016: The yearly Navratri Festival started at Subhashpally in Siliguri from yesterday. It’s something uncommon in the area as the Navratri Puja enters 5th year. The Puja is basically celebrated in a homely atmosphere where the main function is organized by Mr. Sushil Kumar Pal of Subhashpally, Siliguri.
The entire thing is done in the full view of general people. According to some residents, the puja is basically done in a Bengali way and prasad is being distributed almost every day. In accordance to the Indian mythology, the nine forms of Devi are worshiped. Overall, a different experience for the Subhashpally people in this Navratri.
