EHTTOA OBSERVED ‘WORLD TOURISM DAY’ TODAY AT SILIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 27th September, 2016: The Department of Tourism and Eastern Himalayas Travel and Tour Operators Association today jointly observed the World Tourism Day in Siliguri. In a program organized at NJP railway station all the incoming travelers were greeted by roses in the exit of the station by EHTTOA. In the meantime, the tourism minister Mr. Gautam Deb also came back from Kolkata. He also praised the efforts of EHTTOA at the station. A motorcycle rally was also organized, which started from Tinbatti more and traversed Jalpaiguri, Malbazar, Lataguri and again reached Siliguri. The main aim of the motorcycle was to promote the tourism. The executive vice president of EHTTOA Mr. Samrat Sanyal told the press “This year the theme of Tourism is ‘Tourism for All’. The motive of today’s bike rally is to promote tourism as a movement for all the people including tour operators, hotels, restaurants, home stays, vehicle owners, local people and of course the tourists. We want to make North Bengal as an important tourism destination in the World Tourism Map in the days to come”.
