WBPTWA CONDUCTS THEIR FIRST BLOOD DONATION CAMP AT SILIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 26th September, 2016: The West Bengal Private Tutors’ Welfare Association’s (WBPTWA) Siliguri  unit initiated its humanitarian activities by organizing a blood donation and free eye and health check up camp in collaboration with Shri Ramkrishna Abedananda mission, Pradhan Nagar Siliguri and Drishti eye centre , Siliguri, today at 10 am at Swamiji club, Ashrampara, Siliguri. The Maharaj of Shri Ramkrishna Abedananda mission, Pradhan Nagar Siliguri, Mrs. Srabani Dutta and Smt. Reba Sarkar, the honorable councilors of war nos. 14 and 39 respectively, graced the said endeavor as the chief guests.

A great enthusiasm was experienced on part of the local people and guardians students. As many as 56 units of blood was collected, while more than 100 people got their health and eyes examined by the renowned ophthalmologists of the town. The joint secretary Mr. Somnath Chakraborty of the organizing association expressed their commitment to carry on such philanthropic activities in future as well and thanks to all well-wishers who extended their hands to success their philanthropic mission.
