3 BURGLARY IN SAME AREA AT ISLAMPUR: POLICE SILENCE CONTINUES

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 12^th September, 2016: At the onset of Durga Puja next month Islampur witnessed a series of burglary in different locations of Islampur town yesterday night. Residents of this sleepy town have become very terrified. The burglary has occurred at Durganagar area of Islampur town. The theft has taken place at 2 Residential houses and a shop. The incident was discovered in the morning and immediately those were reported to the police. Mr. Bijoy Roy, who works as a night guard was out of his house that night for his duties found his house looted when came back from his duties in the morning. On the other hand, a bike was stolen from Mr. Ratan Chatterjee’s house by the burglars after breaking the locks. Cash and items were taken away by thieves from a Grocery shop of the same area. The residents complain that the miscreants come from Bihar on a regular basis before the Pujas. Even they complained that civic volunteers were not deployed here unlike the other localities of Islampur. However, the police refused to comment on this matter to the press.
