FISHING EQUIPMENTS DISTRIBUTED BY FISHERIES DEPARTMENT AT FALAKATA

Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 01st September, 2016: In a collaboration of Alipurduar Fisheries Department, Alipurduar Zilla Parishad and Falakata Panchayat Samiti some fisheries equipment were distributed to the fish farmers and fish sellers yesterday. The distributed equipment are 2 fish carrier cycles, 2 fifty insulated boxes, 2 weighing machines, two insulated tricycles, 1 70 litres insulated box, 4 T-tray for keeping fishes, 1 electric weighing machine, microchip, fish cutting instrument etc. Apart from the instrument Rs. 2000/- were also distributed to beneficiaries. In this program, the main guests present were Falakata Panchayat Samiti chairman Smt. Sandhya Biswas, Chairman of Falakata Mr. Suresh Lala, Officer of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Mr. Sukhen Barman, BDO of Falakata Smt. Srija Subba, Falakata Block Fisheries Extension Officer Mr. Debjyoti Bhattacharya and others. Mr. Bhattacharya said that this program is initiated in this district from Falakata. He also said that such program will also be extended to other parts of the Alipurduar District. The beneficiaries expressed thanks to the initiative of the Government and the officials present on this occasion.
