Reports last came in from Digha and Sunderbans area says that for the last three days there was a huge cache of Hilsa. Even reports from Haldia is also positive. Last night Digha fishermen caught at least 150 ton of Siver Hilsa by trawlers. The market after effect will be realised after 3-4 days in Siliguri. According to a businessman in Siliguri Regulated Market, we have already received information by phone from Kolkata Aarot about the Hilsa flush. Let’s wait and watch how fast it arrives. A fish seller of Fuleshwari Market told TNI that the new flush may result in decreasing of cost to even Rs. 200 per kgs in Siliguri. However, it’s the time to wait and watch.
