COUPLE COMMITTED SUICIDE AT HAIDERPARA OF SILIGURI TODAY

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri 7^th August 2016: A couple was today found in burning condition from a house at Haiderpara area. Tension had mounted at the place following the incident. People from the nearby places flocked to see the developments in the place. The husband named Liton Mandal died on the spot while the wife Rupu Mandal succumbed to her burn injuries in the hospital. The In-laws of deceased husband alleged wife harassment against him and so their daughter (wife) stayed with them. Today also the husband came to their house to take back his wife. However, it is alleged that he locked himself with her wife and set them on fire. Two fire brigade engines came to the spot and recovered the body of the husband and then the wife was sent to the hospital where it declared brought dead.
