DEATH HOAX OF SILIGURI CHILD SPECIALISTS SPREADING OUTSIDE SILIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri 25th June, 2016: Rumors spread like wildfire. This is again observed in Siliguri. Till now the death hoaxes were common among the celebrities be it Hollywood stars, Bollywood comedians or even celebrity writers, magicians etc. Now comes the Siliguri version of similar hoaxes. Rumour spreaders have targeted some of the well-known child specialists of the city. The buzz was going on for the last 2 months. The rumours spread that two of the child specialist are no more. Even a rumour spread that one of the child specialists was being bitten by a poisonous snake. There were floods of telephone calls in the concerned doctor’s chambers about the validity of the rumour. Though the concerned doctors were either unavailable for comments or they are not picking up our telephone calls. The brunt of death hoaxes is being borne by the Medical Representatives and Medicine Shop owners. One of the Medicine Shop owners of Siliguri Mr. Bikash Saha told TNI “I receive at least 10 phone calls on an average enquiring about the death rumours of the child specialists”.  A medical representative anonymously told TNI “I am receiving calls from Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar, Mathabhanga even Darjeeling from unknown numbers enquiring about the death rumour of some child specialists of Siliguri. I have already applied to my company for a new number for avoiding those calls”.
