ALIPURDUAR MLA SAURAV CHAKRABORTY TAKES CHARGE OF SJDA

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri 25th June, 2016: Today the newly appointed chairman of SJDA Dr. Saurav Chakraborty took up the charges as the chairman in SJDA office at Siliguri. After taking the charge Dr. Chakraborty talked to the press. During his interaction with the press, he said that he will try to bring about more transparency in the functioning of SJDA. Earlier, e-tender was called those works whose estimated costs were more than Rs. 50 lakhs. From now on all kinds of works will be e-tendered. He also further said that that membership of the SJDA board will be taken with the instructions of the Chief Minister Smt. Mamta Banerjee. An expert committee will also be constituted to expedite the works of SJDA. He also assured to taking steps in the drainage system of Siliguri and Jalpaiguri, which are currently undergoing through water logging problems.
