UTTAR DINAJPUR CELEBRATED WORLD YOGA DAY TODAY

Webdesk, TNI Islampur 21st June, 2016: Uttar Dinajpur celebrated World Yoga Day along with the rest of the world. On this day, under the superintendence of the Islampur Yog Sadhana Kendra, the day was observed at the Islampur bus terminus. Adhir Jha and Prabhat Chandra Das acted as instructors for Mantu Barman (Islampur Police Station), Nishikant Sinha (writer), Sushant Nandi (journalist) and several others who attended the event. Usually, the Islampur Yog Sadhana Kendra holds its regular yoga classes at the Islam Court Maidan, but on this day, it had to be moved to the bus terminus due to rain. In addition, enthusiasm was seen among the villagers of Nandajhar, a remote village in subdivision – surrounding this day. Almost a thousand people observed World Yoga Day here under the supervision of Ram Bharat Das at the Nandajhar High School. Even kids were seen participating, all dressed and ready.
