MALBAZAR AND MAINAGURI WRITHING UNDER TEESTA FLOOD

Webdesk, TNI Malbazar 14th June, 2016: Malbazar subdivision and Mainaguri are also affected due to the water releasing from Teesta barrage of Gajaldoba. The areas of Malbazar subdivision like Chanpadanga, Basusuba, Darjipara are all underwater. Last year the local dam was damaged due to the flood which remained unrepaired. This time, the water entered through those areas and submerged the area. On the other hand, Mainaguri’s Burmanpara is also under water due to the flood. Jalpaiguri Sadar SDO Smt. Sima Haldar has said that Disaster Management Team has already been set into action for providing relief to the affected people due to the flood.
