FALAKATA EXPERIENCING EARLY FLOOD BEFORE OFFICIAL MONSOONS
Arunangshu Maitra (TNI Falakata) | Edited By R. Subrata (TNI Siliguri)
Webdesk, TNI Falakata 14th June, 2016: Many areas of Falakata block came under water due to incessant rains for the last couple of nights. The Mujhnai River’s water level rise has left many areas adjacent to the river inundated. Officially, the monsoon is still 3-4 days away yet Deogaon went under water. For the last couple of nights, hills were experiencing heavy rains resulting in the steep rise of the river water level of Mujhnai. Water has entered the slum areas of Falakata block like Khoyerbari, Deogaon etc. leaving the people in hapless condition. The Falakata Panchayat pradhan was not found for any comments in this regard.
