SILIGURI HAWKERS CORNER BUSINESSMEN SUBMITTED DEPUTATION AT SMC

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri 7^th June, 2016: Today a deputation was placed in front of the Mayor of SMC Mr. Ashok Bhattacharya by Siliguri Hawker’s Corner Byabshayee Samiti at the SMC Office. The deputation was regarding the long pending water supply system creation at Hawkers Corner and the removal of traffic and parking problem inside Hawkers corner. The Samiti also claimed that such deputations bearing the same demand was also placed earlier in SMC. However, the businessmen said that no actions were taken by SMC till date. The deputation was placed to the Mayor by the chairman of Siliguri Hawkers Corner Byabsayee Samiti Mr. Bablu Paul. Mr. Paul talking while talking to the press said that the mayor has assured them that he will take necessary steps to curve the ongoing problem. However, Mr. Paul also reiterated that if steps are not taken then Hawkers Corner Byabshayee Samiti will start nonstop dharna at Siliguri Municipal Corporation Office.
