Webdesk, TNI Banarhat 4th June, 2016: Three tourists met with an accident at Moraghat area on NH 31C of Banarhat. This spot is known as an accident prone area by the locals. The main cause behind the accidents is associated with speeding vehicles. The district and forest administration have put enough hoarding, banners and signboards depicting dangers of an accident in the area. However, that has not deterred the drivers to loosen their accelerating pressure. The accident has occurred while the tourist vehicle was heading towards Siliguri. A full loaded pickup truck coming from the opposite direction collided with the tourist vehicle. The injured tourists were Ms. Sanyukta Das (26), Ms. Puja Das (28) and Ms. Aparna Banerjee (32). They were taken to Banarhat hospital. However, they were released after first aid.
