KANAN DEBI DRIVEN OUT FROM HOME BY SON AT JALPAIGURI
By Arunangshu Maitra (TNI)
Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri 3rd June, 2016: A son and daughter-in-law duo have been accused of driving away an old mother from home. The helpless elderly has been living at a neighbor’s place for the past 10 days. The victim, Smt. Kanan Choudhary, sought the police at the Jalpaiguri Police Station on Thursday accompanied by the local residents. She blamed her son, Mr. Manav Choudhary, and daughter-in-law Mrs. Tripti Choudhary, of mentally harassing her on account of not surrendering her meager pension fund to them. Kanan Debi was forced to leave her home as a ‘punishment’ for visiting her neighbor during a puja ceremony.
