SENIOR SPORTS REPORTER BIKASH SADHU PASSES AWAY

Webdesk, TNI Kolkata 22nd May, 2016: Today the senior sports photojournalist of Aajkaal newspaper, Mr. Bikash Sadhu, passed away at a private hospital after suffering from prolonged illness. He has retired from the newspaper 4 years ago but he was still active in freelancing of sports photography. During his death, he was 64 years. He has left behind his wife, son and a daughter. Mr. Sadhu joined Aajkal as a freelance photographer later in 1985 he joined as a sports photographer. During his lifetime he has covered many important sports events like Olympics, Cricket World Cup, Asian Games, National Games etc. in terms of on spot sports reporting. For 6 years he was the secretary of Sports Photographers Association of Bengal. He is survived by his wife, son and a daughter. The demise of Mr. Bikash Sadhu has brought a big loss to Bengal’s sports journalism. The entire timesofnorth.IN pays homage to his departed soul.
