PEACOCK RESCUED NEAR HONDA BIKE SHOWROOM AT DHUPGURI

Webdesk, TNI Dhupguri 21^st May, 2016: Today evening a peacock was rescued near a Honda Motorcycle showroom at Dhupguri. It was rescued from the agricultural field adjacent to the showroom. Local stray dogs chased the bird. Localite Ram Hari Roy immediately shunned away the dogs and rescued the poor bird and kept inside the protection of the motorbike showroom. The wildlife squad of Binnaguri was called in immediately. The Wildlife squad later took away the peacock. Such incident is rare in this area, however, in most of the times elephants and cheetah enters this area from the forest. The Binnaguri Wild Life Squad Ranger Mr. Jaladhar Roy told TNI that the bird was rescued without injury hence; it was freed in the jungle.
