HSA FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATED AT SHIVMANDIR

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri 14th May, 2016: Today at the premises of University of North Bengal celebrated the 36th Foundation Day of Hill Students’ Association P.G. Unit (H.S.A.). It is a student welfare association formed in 1980 for the students coming from hills to study in this University. HSA celebrated their 36th Foundation Day with a cultural ceremony. Annual magazine of HSA named “Pahaad” was also released on this occasion. It is edited by Mr. Yogesh Limbu, Student of Nepali Department and Sports Secretary of the Association. The chief guest of the program was Retd. Major K.P. Malla. The other guests were a renowned musician from Darjeeling Mr. Basant Chettri, upcoming sculpture Mr. Amir Sundas, a renowned singer from Shivmandir (Spirit of Siliguri fame) Ms. Banika Pradhan, another singer from Darjeeling Ms. Sonu Rai. The ceremony started with a welcome dance performed by Ms. Keshavi Chettri followed by a memento presentation to the invited guests. Next, there were various performances performed by the University students.
