AGE CERTIFICATES NEEDED FOR TEMPLE MARRIAGE AT FALAKATA

Webdesk, TNI Falakata 8^th May, 2016: The Falakata Purohit Kalyan Manch (FPKM) today had taken a step to stop child marriage. Today in a private school a workshop was organized. Apart from the members of the organization, there were other special dignitaries of Falakata town present in the occasion. Various topics related to child marriage, dowry system, girl education were discussed in the workshop. The secretary of FPKM, Mr. Manik Kanta Sharma Biswas said that the Purohits have some social responsibility regarding Female education, preventing dowry, stopping female foeticides etc. The FPKM is against such practices. The FPKM have decided that whenever someone comes to the temple for marriage in Falakata, then the would-be couple have to produce the original age certificates or else there would be no marriages happened in the temple. Various other steps of preventing the ills of the society will be carried out in the near future.
