DREADED ROBBERY AT BAGDOGRA’S CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri 05th May, 2016: Today morning one of the biggest bank robbery at Bagdogra was unearthed when the employees entered the Bagdogra branch. The looting may have occurred last night. The looters were accustomed with the security systems present in the bank. The CCTV cameras, emergency siren, volt doors were found broken by the employees. Immediately police was informed who arrived in the spot. Forensic team along with police dog was also brought in for checking. However, police dogs became confused when it came around the parked vehicles. Local sources suggest that may be looters fled with vehicles. The police commissioner Mr. Manoj Verma also came to the spot. According to the customers the branch did not have any security staff appointed in the branch during night. The agitated customers were shouting while the branch manager arrived around 3 pm in the spot with police escort. Nobody was arrested till now. Mr. Shyam Singh, DCP traffic said to the press that the investigation is still going on. A total of 16 lockers were found to be broken supposedly by gas cutters by the looters.
