ILLEGAL TEAK WOOD FURNITURE RECOVERED FROM FALAKATA

Webdesk, TNI Falakata 27th April, 2016: Today after a recovery of illegal teak wood furniture a small scuffle started at Falakata. Today the Falakata SSB 17 No Battalion and Madarihaat Forest Department started a joint raiding operation. In that raid some teak furniture were recovered, which has an estimated price of Rs. 7 lakh. The recovery was done from a house of Betel nut trader residing at Falakata’s Deshbandhupara. The recovered items included door and window frames and teak beds. The raid was conducted by SSB’s ASI Mr. Arun Roy. Mr. Roy said that no documents regarding the recovered furniture could be produced by anyone. However, no one was arrested in this regard. The house owner fled the spot just before the raid.
