WOMAN DIES OF THUNDER STRUCK AT BIRPARA

Webdesk, TNI Gairkata 28th March, 2016: A woman today came under a thunderstruck, who died on the spot at Birpara. The incident occurred at Puratan Kalibari area of Gairkata. The name of the deceased lady was Jyostna Roy (50) and is a resident of the same area. Local sources revealed that today in an around 7 am, the woman was doing her household chores at that time the climate suddenly turned ugly and rain and thundershower started. Then suddenly the woman was struck by a thunder. She was rushed to the Birpara General Hospital. However, the doctor informed the people that the woman was brought dead. Police sources informed that the body was sent to Alipurduar for post mortem.
